Casita Colombia is a recycled shipping container that has traveled millions of kilometers throughout its existence and has many stories to tell. Its atmosphere and the place where it has anchored will enchant you to the point that you won't want to leave, and we believe that you will be happy to return to us.
In Colombia, time passes differently, slower, and we know how to find time to enjoy every small moment we have for ourselves and our loved ones or simply to relax and unwind.
Patricia is originally from Colombia, while Zdenek's ancestors have been farming in Vysoka for several centuries. Together, they are building an oasis of tranquility and aiming to bring a part of Colombian living to the Czech Brdy region.
Casita Colombia is a fully self-sustained dwelling that is not connected to public infrastructure. Solar panels generate electricity, which is then stored in batteries, and a wind miniature power plant serves as a backup energy source. The warmth of the home is provided by wood-burning stoves, and in case of severe cold, underfloor heating is available. A water heater ensures hot water supply, and cooking is facilitated by a gas stove. Rainwater is collected from the roof into an 800-liter tank and further treated for use in the bathroom. We provide you with extra drinking water for each stay.
